“Never Ending Mercies” Lamentations 3:21-23; oil paint on board, framed; 30x40.
This soft landscape is an oil painting on wood panel framed in a champagne metallic painted wood floater frame. The paint is thick and textured, most of it applied with a palette knife.
I was working on this painting to hang in my River Arts District studio before Hurricane Helene hit our area. While my studio was not flooded or damaged, (and my family is safe!), the District has been devastated. I am extremely grateful that my studio was spared…and also grieving for those who have lost so much. Then weight of Helene’s destruction is carried by all who live here. Very heavy.
